About Louise Burfitt-Dons
Louise Burfitt-Dons is an Amazon bestselling author and screenwriter.
Born in Kuwait, she was brought up in the late fifties and early sixties when the State was reaching the end of its Protectorate agreement with Britain and neighbouring Iraq threatened to invade the oil-rich country.
Louise is the author of the spy thriller Our Man In Kuwait shaped around actual events of that period.
She stood for parliament in 2015. That experience formed the background to the first in her series of crime novels centred around chaotic private investigator Karen Andersen.
A life based in cities around the world, as part of what can happen if you end up married to an airline pilot, drew her to write about the contrasting cultures she has observed at first hand.
What little spare time she has is spent on her children’s charity.
Louise has two daughters and a granddaughter. Today home is Chiswick in West London shared with her husband of forty years.
